BB_snickers: When women are taking on male roles (and unfortunately male characteristics that they don't handle well) and thereby depriving men of job opportunities and family status to support their families, all but demanding them to 'feminize' themselves:
Do you think feminism and it's notions of 'equality' and rights have taken away your natural and innate state of being a man or a woman?
Do you think it has created a more unnatural and conflicted sense of self?
Is this a comparison of Alpha male/female to Beta male/female here? Of which would you condider yourself as?

lifeisadream: "Feminism has taught women that there are other options in their life."

Feminism is different from one country to another so my comments are mostly regarding to the conditions in Mexico.
Women in Mexico have the option to pursue a career and/or have a family. However, there are some differences as well regarding to their social and economical strata.
Women in Mexico CAN choose:
1. To be a Housewife and dedicate their time and life to their family and that is fine if that is what she wants to.
2. To pursue a career and have a family. Which is not easy and the Mexican woman is in charge of most family matters, being that a bit different from the American Culture just to compare it. My perception is that American men get more involved in family matters than Mexican Men.
3. A small segment of women choose to have a career only and forget about having a family, having a partner or not.

So can I go and work as a trollop or a call-boy? Where? When?
