But what if the fruit within easy reach is too ripe, or too green? What if is it of the wrong shape or size?
Maybe you just know that the flavour would not be for you.
Should we still take a bite out of them? if we do, we are damaging that piece of fruit for the next person who comes along.
Should we get a ladder instead, and reach that high one? Or maybe, just wait patiently under the tree until it eventually falls and hits us on the head?
I think I would have to nibble on a few of the other apples while I wait for that to fall, whilst saving for a long ladder! Hopefully, leaving them undamaged enough to pass to somebody else who likes that piece of fruit more.
