I really hope so, very little benefit has come from the EU to the UK other than the open border policy, but the cost has and is crippling Britain. The EU needs Britain more than we need the EU, it will open up world markets for the manufacturing base (what's left of it), it will allow our currency to become a major player on the world market, especially with the crumbling US Dollar, and it could benefit other EU countries that can create treaties with the UK to establish special rates for import/exports when they also follow the UK lead of leaving the union, it's the fact that once the UK leave so will many others soon after.
The only country that will really get hurt by the dismembering of the union would be Germany, but then what goes around comes around, and that would be very beneficial to countries like Spain, Greece, Cyprus etc who could tear up any financial agreements (hopefully).

I think if the UK stay out, would be isolated politically by the EU,and the political support of the US, it wont play a major role.JMO
