They did not want to live in Aussie , they wanted to live in Israel . The jews fought a bitter war against the English as they , the English supported arabs . Jews had bought a lot of land from arabs / existing residents and were quite intitled to occupy it . Just because some pom signed a declaration in 1919 ? does not make England responsible for Israel's existence today . They went cold on the idea to the extent of stopping Jews getting there .
