Yummy Irish Coffee!
We're known for: our literature, plays and poetry (Bram Stoker, George Bernard Shaw, Hugh Leonard, John B. Keane, Seamus Heaney to name a few), Excellent actors: Liam Neeson, Saoirse Ronan, Stephen Rea etc. Fine musicians and composers (U2, Imelda May, Snow Patrol, Rory Gallagher, Sean O'Riada, Christy Moore), Best behaved and most fun football supporters despite the results!, Beautiful scenery, hospitality, wit, and unfortunately, the negative aspects of drink and fighting. Oh and we have lots of potholes on our country and some secondary roads, especially in the bad weather.
The positive aspect of drinking is we have some of the best quality whiskey, hell we invented it! And we have over the years some of the best boxers in the world, including Katie Taylor of course!!!
Well, I do love the Irish...I have friends over in Sandyford and very friendly they are too.
- Over in London...I have noticedthey do know how to party (some great Irish pubs/clubs over here) - Always have a story to tell - Laid back and happy go lucky
3 million in Ireland...80 million world wide
St Patrick's day is celebrated everywhere (on the other hand over here you can hear a pin drop on St Georges day)
Went over the a few times...once on Irish soil I felt very relaxed and chilled
A good blend of culture and traditions, family life and religion.

I was talking to an Irish guy (he was telling me he was an Irish Gipsy's) whilst on a tea break at a training course I was attending
He was saying that in the Irish constitution there is a clause that says they as a country may not go a start wars in other countries...and that there is no such thing for the UK
He was telling me that they do go in to provide relief and recuse, reconstruct and provide help and aid to people...after there has been a war.
I do remember often when there is those "telethons" to raise money for good causes, that per percentage...its the Irish that gives the most.
So thats another thing the Irish are known for...from a correspondent over here.
