Katiko: You are completely right: the probability it would lead anywhere is extremely low.
So, the guy just wasted the time.
And gave me a bad feeling cos I don't like to ignore people.

If someone comes to your door, or calls you on the phone trying to sell something you don't want, would you buy the product so you don't feel bad?

Contacting people on a dating site is not all that different: just because you have a door bell, or a telephone, doesn't mean you have to oblige cold callers.

It's someone's choice to mail you, in the knowledge you might not be interested in interacting with them.

Some people write back and say something like, "Thanks for your mail, but I'm not interested.", but many don't because that can sometimes lead to negative consequences (abusive mail, pestering and the like).

You're not obliged to welcome, entertain, or look after anyone who chooses to try and enter into your personal space and no one is obliged to you, if you try and enter into theirs.

People interact with each other because they want to and that's how it should be. Would you want to be humoured, rather than genuinely liked?

Men had to catch my attention in the first mail, or else there was no 2nd mail.

Something witty/observant/intelligent and my interest was piqued grin

jac_the_gripper: You have no control over what other people choose to do.

You do however, have control over your own choices.

Maybe explore why it frustrates you and why you want control over what other people choose to do?

You could just ignore the mails you're not interested in and enjoy the ones you are, or mail people you're interested in, in a way you feel is appropriate.

Its interesting fact that many real male here doesn't get reply as this thread says but many romantic scammer make fool them and many real women waste their months and more to get to know about scammer before or after loss...Its really funny

Scammer should start teaching guys here how to write an impressive mail to get attention of women.

But this question comes here Do guys need to impress "fools"

Men also complain same but men seem to talk everyone who send them mail but women are picky think 1000 times before replying someone's mail and a person who has nothing but false story with false name can Impress with false words any intelligent lady and turn this intelligent lady into fool. bouquet

I don't think that the email should be impressing. It simply should be waking interest in the other person and wanting her to learn more about the writer. No matter if the woman or man writes first.

The issue with scammers is that the way they are "impressing" can actually impress only someone who is looking for being impressed. Most of those scammers are willing to marry in the first mail, own chains of restaurants, hotels, etc. (about which they informed in the first mail too), and are looking for real love which is the addressed woman ;))).
Additionally they are handsome, honest, generous and most caring in the World…

But I would assume that most women here know already that no-one is perfect and are looking for normal guys, so this kind of "impressing" is not only not necessary but actually suspicious.
