besides doing that, sounds likely your cutter has sagged or house settled, so get your hands on a dumpy level, or laser beam, an see if you can figure out what/which is causing water to lay in the cutter...

I had same sort of problem quite few months ago, managed to lift sagging part of cutter by moving the cutters brackets, with some good ol blood sweat and tears, hammer drill and roofing screws resolved it

hey, this isn't fair..

if you part cut down your working hours before you retire, you will only get long service based on your last 3 yrs of hours...

very mad

apparently this is the case..

and I am cutting down next year to four days for four months..

which wont be huge, but I am looking forward to some time off..

in any case, I am on leave again from next week, til Jan. and hey... I guess I am lucky...

(this is because I purchase leave throughout the year).. applause

robplum: richard branson started a site , anyone know the ins and out of the bidding for credits on their?

ok so i lost money bidding on buying credit auctions and items i bid on as each time you bid it cost bit of your credit, however, not actually lost, the amount spent trying (loss) is still accumulated as buy-now credit good for three days, so with the money lost was able to apply it to a trigB seagate external drive, all other items listed in buy-now list of items would have meant spending more than my accumulated so what you loose bidding isn't exactly lost, for cost of freight $12.99 have $88 Seagate Drive heading my way...

wash2u: After many years of being drought-affected where there has been some soil subsidence, I am still trying to work out how I can get the Local/State/Federal Government to pay for Mother Nature being responsible for the resettlement of land following a reduction in the moisture content of the soil in my property.

The original development was approved under the rules of the time by the City of Berwick prior to the Victorian Kennett Govt amalgamating a lot of local Governments. I have since met with the Traffic Engineer (I have admired his thoughts and work for many years even though I was in NSW when I became aware of his work) who had provided comments on the original concept plans way back 30 odd years ago about the road network required and necessary.

Okay, the road were put in but have been very severely hampered from what have been provided to efficient and effective usage of the road network.

My question is "Why do we have so many experts in so many different and various fields that we ignore?"

Well i noticed a couple of experts three weeks ago, pulled into park-spot alongside what looked like nice new short wheelbase Landrover Defender, pretty picture, two young looking duds drove off in it.
Just yesterday passed recovery truck heading to the city with very same very damaged Defender on it, sure would have brought tears to your eyes wash, nearly shed one myself...

Most 4wd clubs do have "Driver Training" programmes running to educate people about how their 4wd vehicle works and can be used.

Unfortunate that many "experienced drivers" have advanced from their low-slung Nissan/Mazda/Toyota 2 seaters that slide around tarmac racetracks and acquire very high centre of gravity vehicles that are very capable at relatively low speeds.

At 9.57am I was standing outside the NVG (trying to work out what it stands for but it is the Art Gallery in Melbourne) and watched a new grey Defender (110 Wheelbase) crawl by in the traffic.....got to watch it until 10.03am when the first influx of patrons had managed to get through the door.

I am hoping to upgrade my s111 this year , I need some defender doors with roll down windows . Cheap ones too , none of this 500 each bull . I bought a brand new door top this year , flash as it has no rusted out inside panel and I don't have to hold it with my elbow . Keep an eye out for that Rover Robo .

P.S. need rover green paint on too .

Saw a neighbours Flat deck Defender (TD5 diesel ) in the workshop last week , he was saying computer has failed , come as a surprise that they had one .

Do you need Defender doors on your sIII so you can stick your head and elbow out the window at the same time?
Dec 20, 2014 1:52 AM CST Question thread.......
The right hand front door had been wrapped around a tree, the left looked like it had been put through a big roller, right along left side was whole series of waves, backdoor looked ok, was only part that did, it was headed towards Melbourne probably, you wouldn't get much off it mate

ahaha the vents were taken out a few years back when rust attacked the area , rather like the idea of having a full rolldown , taking off the door tops is alright round here but not an idea running to town with weather changes

LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 – VERDICT

While the Defender 90 is a serious bush-ready vehicle, we strongly encourage those who are interested in buying one to actually get out there and have a crack at some decent off road stuff. You’ll be mighty impressed.

The current model Defender is equipped with ABS brakes and power-assisted steering. As far as safety equipment goes, that’s probably the Defender’s biggest let down. There are no airbags or a stability control system available. With safety regulations reaching new heights every year, and regulations varying from country to country, Land Rover knows the Defender is on borrowed time in some markets, hence its 2015 replacement.

BRAKES
F: Servo assisted brakes
R: Servo assisted brakes

PRICED FROM
$44,990

these people who write about vehicles don't use the one they are writing about every day . No way is an airbag a benefit in an off road work vehicle . They are a danger, thumping a bank or tree is routine enough to fire airbags . Currently their are limited "work ready" 4x4's on the market . Hilux used to be good but has gone independent front suspension and all soft pronounced panels . Cruiser is so bloody costly . Ford Ranger venerable but most popular because of lack of choice .There is a problem with the Defender gear box . Local Defender had it's g/box replaced on guarantee (same family as red on mentioned ) , small hole between to area's of box was two small to allow oil levels to be maintained . Simple drill out sorts it but no , fools running Rover would not allow drill out as would void guarantee . They got rid of that one after spending thousands fixing motor /turbo etc for just enough to cover repair costs . I would have given good money for Rover without motor or gear box in it and repowered with Nissan 2.8 diesel and s111 gear box . No problem with fitting doors , one piece window and comfy seats , luxury in a modest way .snooty snooty snooty

My wagons gear box has cost me, has tiny wee overdrive cog fitted external to what is actually a RX 7 car gear box. Good motor that pull well up quite steep hills in fifth, but gear box won't handle it for long.
2.5 Ford Ranger is same wagon with Ford instead Mazda, other than gear box am happy with the Mazda
