Well, if that is what you believe, then that is what you will find. I you change your attitude, so will you find that there are many real people on here in amongst the fake stuff.
People get the wrong idea about internet introductions. They think they post an ad and then can sit there waiting for many applications to come flooding in so that they can evaluate them at their leisure and discard everyone that they don't think is suitable.
Most newbies do this, and as a result, reap what they sow on here. They get disillusioned by the scammers because they have set themselves up as a boss doing job interviews in their mind.
To get a relationship you have give of yourself, be open to putting yourself out there, to take risks and talk with people who you might not be confident saying 'hi' to in real life.
Get involved in the forums and blogs, and you will find heaps of real people.
Maybe you are looking into a mirror. If you see fake bouncing back at you, then I'd probably have a look inside myself as well. Fake might be just what others also see in you.
I'm not trying to be offensive, just honest and real and helpful in shifting your focus to be more outgoing and outreaching. When you do this, you will be amazed at just how many real people you will meet on here.

G'day HalvO, Just been contacted by yet another fake. (3rd one in 2 weeks). Straight up asked for my e-mail address "so we can get to know each other". Plus the fact that I'm 10 years outside her age range.They must think us oldies are either extremely stupid or desperate (or both). Told her I'd be glad to video chat on Skype. Yep. Just got off the phone to Anna. Still sorting out a lot of estate matters after her mum died a couple of months ago. It is a complex process in China.
It must be the night for scammers, I've be hit on 3 times in about 30 minutes. Pity that they don't take the time to read my profile.
I just delete them now. Can't be bothered replying.
You should have given the scammer the local cop station email address to write to! Ha ha.
For most scammers, it is a blanket automated text thing... They just cut and paste into profile after profile hoping the mass marketing will get a bite. if they get one bite in a thousand, they are happy.
Have fun here in the forums. The Aussie forums are a bit dull of late and don't really interest me much.

So if you think this way, why are you still here? Granted many people can b.s. about alot of things, and the majority by their own admission never step outside of their computer rooms to actually meet another, I'd hazard to say that the majority are real. In the end, all you can do is control your own behavior and actions - so if you want to truly connect with people in the real world - exchange info, skype, telephone and arrange some live dates.
