PrimaveraSpring: How to say "No" to men who write you but you dont like them at all? I dont want to hurt them! Any ideas?

thankyou for taking the time to view my profile.

i do not think we are a match, but i wanted to say thank you and wish you success in your search.

(and then get ready for the abusive remarks some will send in return to your email. at which point, remind yourself that, that any derogatory comments sent are about them and not you, thank your lucky stars you didn't pursue it further, then block and delete become useful.).

Just reply with a flower, rather than an email, saying

'Thanks for the message.I am not interested, but best of luck on the site!'

That will let 90% of men know where they stand, in a polite manner.

The other 10% will either keep trying, or try to insult.

Either way, if they mail back after getting the flower, do NOT engage with them anymore.

allthegoodnamest: Actually, ignoring them is not the kindest way of saying " I'm not interested".as you quoted. As far as I'm concerned, it's the cowards way of saying I'm not interested.. Spare a thought for the person who was kind enough to take the time to Message you, after-all, they have feelings too. A simple thanks but no thanks would be a kinda way , thus stopping further more interaction.

Hi J,

With all due respect, it is not a "cowardly" way to ignore a message from someone one is not interested in. I have found your way of engaging with a "thanks, but no thanks"....can often offend more and will often result in a "why?" or "what's wrong with me?" type of response. It does not always stop interaction. I have had to block because men did not "get it" with a response of "no thanks". Why prolong something or even initiate something with someone you are not interested in?

If it is someone who I "know" through the forums or blogs, then, yes, I do respond.....but if it is a random from the general population who I have no interest in whatsoever....then not engaging works best for me, I have found.

Just in my experience...

KremaP: My headline is "Single but NOT looking", and you know what, they write to try and convince me I actually don't really mean that...
Don't reply, that's polite in it's own, "dating site" way!

Actually you are noy looking but most of the guys dont read what you wrote in your profile as here lots of women are fake and if anyone is real they think she would reply.
But pretty girl always have benefit whether they r in dating site or real world....

Am I wrong?

Hahah, well, if they try to convince me otherwise, they have read at least the headline...
I do reply in a polite way if I have to be honest, but ignore mails like "how r u" or "whatsup wanna chat"...
Don't know about the pretty girls, they probably get more attention, but also get pissed off too... wine

Most of the nice guy are shy as they are not players if they are they wouldn't not be on dating site...
If any player guy is on dating site what you are saying I am sure he can impress anyone here......( scammers and players try so hard to impress) but a normal guy would never do that.

Yes I dont know if u get pissed off becoz getting many messages here.

I do know pretty women get more changes than a normal nice lady dont.

its nature what i m talking about.

You can do one of two things...either ignore the email altogether or respond with a thank you but I'm not interested and wish them luck. Sometimes a polite response results in abusive replies at which time you simply delete, block and forget it even happened.

Well, you are right...
If you rely on a photo to tell you what the other one really is, it is very much likely to be scammed or disappointed.
You are trying to flatter me Guy, putting me in the pretty group, haha, no, I am not one of them and I don't get much mail. cheers

Invite them around your house for dinner and a chat.
From their profile, you will see what they are interested in, so plan ahead and have a 'let down' pressie for them.
Face to face is a really nice way of breaking bad news and in my experience men are mature enough to handle it.
Have a 6 pack ready for their journey home.
That should do it.

That would be fantastic.
Tell someone you're not interested and then give them a full body oil massage. They will go away feeling satiated and important laugh

I can see him walking away.
