I've not seen this issue here much. Maybe, just maybe it's got something to do with the fact that this is a totally free dating web site? What's the old saying.... You (usually) get what you pay for.

There's heaps of genuine people here, if you're not looking to scam them or have unreasonable expectations. It must be hard finding people to scam now, I still get the old "I'm an American schoolteacher, doing a masters degree in Ghana..."

friendships and connections.
