I dont think they will. Sure, they'll carry on like its the end of the world, as they like to do. But then Manchester will play soccer against Scropney, and all will be forgotten.
Jimmy5IA: If Britain breaks up who wants my head to be on the new money? You wont have a choice anyway, it´s a done deal, her maj is stepping aside.
Great Britain will never break up. The USA will always back it up. Look at the 60+ year loan the USA gave for its WWII debt.
I've wondered for some time what England would be like without its monarchy. Seems like your monarchy is like israel's tourist industry dependency imho.

How much do they still owe you? With my head on the currency it should triple in value

I think GB's entire war debt to the USA was considered "paid in full" in 2005 or 2006. Some here, though, say the USA should still call in some of GB's war debt that POTUS Jimmy Carter forgave.

galrads: I really don't know. Some think they used the debt payments to build a barber shop and beauty salon for our representatives in Washington DC.
That Mr.Trump dude has certainly been tanning himself a bright shade of orange, no doubt a few million went on the fake tan and sunbeds. The rest Michelle spent on handbags

Oh but you are quite mistaken. I have a History that goes back generations into the Austro-Hungarian Empire and on and on. In fact I have History that has two main directions. Jealousy is not something I practice. I know that there are those which are not confident in their existence on this planet and tend to make all sorts of nonsense though. When I was a young boy I was curious about those I descended from in Wales, but that just has not held my interest after meeting some people that just seemed very uninviting. In Eastern Europe and even in the Philippines I was welcomed.. mostly. I hope the same is said when and if I ever do go to Wales and other areas in that vicinity. I notice that people that refer to large groups tend to be more impersonal and live in more fear then they really might be aware of. Jealous of a place?? no.. I do wish that I had time to go a few places but it will keep. ;-}

The Trump dude looks like he was wearing goggles when they sprayed his tan on. Trump's about to give a speech on foreign policy.
I bet he's going touch on nukes and commit to not broadcasting his punches. I think he'll shake his finger at Korea and Iran nuclear programs and at the same time.... state no more American troops on foreign ground.

I have not idea about what is going on with the royalty (and not much interested in it) but I get ads from a Hotel in London and they are having a special rate just because of her Maj 90's birthday! As I would care and the rate is 197 pounds or so with a bottle of wine and some scones for free
