lindsyjones: Mike I'm very aware of what US has done for the war. I know too, that without us and breaking the blitzkreig plan of the Axis, the world would have been completely changed to communism. Google facts about second WW and how critical was the US part to end it at the expense of the Philippine strategy in destroying Japan's goal of conquering Asia in 7 days.
England was annihilated and without our strength who knows what would have happened.
I feel you hate us Americans so much yet I can personally feel that we're in better shape as far as military economy and social benefits.
[quote=pedalgTHE BLITZ IN LONDON - A MILLION HOMES HIT AND 40,000 CIVILIANS KILLED St Paul's Cathedral miraculously escaped WWII air raids. St Paul's Cathedral miraculously escaped WWII air raids. The Blitz (from the German word, 'lightning') was the most intense bombing campaign Britain has ever seen. Between 7 September 1940 and 21 May 1941 there were major raids with more than 100 tonnes of high explosives were dropped on 16 British cities. London, was attacked 71 times and bombed by the Luftwaffe for 57 consecutive nights. More than one million London houses were destroyed or damaged, and more than 40,000 civilians were killed, almost half of them in London Birmingham, Liverpool and Plymouth were also hit eight times, Bristol six, Glasgow five, Southampton four, Portsmouth three, and there was also at least one large raid on another eight cities. Deeply-buried shelters provided the most protection against a direct hit, although the government in 1939 refused to allow tube stations to be used as shelters so as not to interfere with commuter and troop travel. However, by the second week of heavy bombing the government relented and ordered the stations to be opened. Each day orderly lines of people queued until 4 pm, when they were allowed to enter the stations, and by mid-September 1939 about 150,000 a night slept in the Underground. Despite the blanket bombing of the capital, some landmarks remained intact - such as St Pauls Cathedral (right), which was virtually unharmed, despite many buildings around it being reduced to rubble during the 57 nights of raid.
Pedal thanks for the question. My bad, annihilation is truly in a sense over exxageration but the truth is it made England really shaken from the the Blitzkerig attack.

Did you pay for your history lesson's , if you did maybe you should consider a refund . Lesson one , RAF won the battle of Britain , Lesson two , the BA along with its dominion forces had beaten the german army and its allies in the middle east before the US had an army on the ground . lesson number 3 , at no time was the Royal navy defeated . I am not trying to minimise what was done by US forces , just won't leave crap unchallenged .
lindsyjones: I agree Chris. I can't believe how blind Hilary's followers are. Soros, by the way has supposedly funneled more than 13 million on her campaign? You know what happens when she wins. We are doomed Chris.

Epirb, I will not ever consider having a refund of what I know from my history teacher but having said that why don't you read the role of the US played in the Allied power to defeat the Axis?
Had it not been with the US, I am sure there is no way the War was won and as a matter of fact this is the reason why Mike is frowning at the payback that US imposed against England?
"reign in North Korea" "Not going to war - stops winning" "weakened reservoirs, allies not paying" "No respect, no leader from little cuba to shake hands" "Israel a great friend"
I like the idea of America First, like Winstons'party New Zealand First, he has been a noted king maker, the way our politics work.
Yet I suppose he is like Winnie, says it how it is, yet will not gain power. Great change is needed for your country but he needs to be honest in what he says, especially with past wars, that will not sit well.
I wish you well on your quest.
remember America will never be the Savior of the world, but it dam needs some one to look after YOU ALL.
In New Zealand we have the worst care here for many things, unemployment, elderly homeless, youth suicide, solo parents, drug use..no caring facilities, Children killed. Its about the people, yet its also about the government that SEES.
HonestHenry: Typical ignorant nonsense from brainwashed Trump lovers
Its not about loving Trump..As far as i'm concerned he a pompous a-ss
But so was General Patton.. He saved the British Empire
You do know that Germany only worried about Patton, and had he not been playing games with German intelligence while he was in england..D-Day would have been unsuccessful, and england would have been pulverized by German V2s

Good
Nor shall this peace sleep with her: but as when The bird of wonder dies, the maiden phoenix, Her ashes new-create another heir, As great in admiration as herself; So shall she leave her blessedness to one, When heaven shall call her from this cloud of darkness, Who from the sacred ashes of her honour Shall star-like rise, as great in fame as she was, And so stand fix'd: peace, plenty, love, truth, terror, That were the servants to this chosen infant. Shall then be his, and like a vine grow to him: Wherever the bright sun of heaven shall shine, His honour and the greatness of his name Shall be, and make new nations: he shall flourish, And, like a mountain cedar, reach his branches To all the plains about him: — our children's children Shall see this, and bless heaven."
