Tinypaws: There are contradictions in the Quran, as are there in the Bible. In both religions, depending on who reads what, and how they wish to interpret or focus, will find what they seek.
Funny though how those type of articles always talk about 'apologisers'. To me that doesn't sound very supportive of the fact that those 'apologisers' indeed seem to wish to find all that is peaceful. Shall I take it that peaceful Muslims aren't the desired flavour? That we want them radicalised and violent, so we feel vindicated in our hate?
Maybe even so that we have a reason to make war?

No, I asked you to define hippie and asked you whether you think Jesus was one, as I think many associate hippies with long hair, talking of love and peace, same as he is depicted. That's all :)
And what you speak there of such vile attacks, is exactly what those who commit them, want you to speak. However, this is why they commit their acts of terror, to make you feel that fear, so that you mistrust every Muslim out there/will not form friendships with them, and so that we as the good common people, no matter our religion, are kept divided.
These are extremely trying times, yet I recall someone saying in one post here how he would go and fight IS if he'd be a Muslim, and he was hailed for his 'bravery' - yet all those who claim they'd be that brave, are same time running scared of these extremists committing random acts of terrors in our midst, and are losing their heads over it, in fear it could be them next.
We indeed need bravery now. We need to stand against that terror, united, by not allowing those monsters to drive us apart in hatred and prejudice. Could this mean risking your life?

I think you are referring to my post regarding fighting for my country, and I stand by it. It is not bravado as I have worked in countries during conflict, numerous times.
