A Jack Daniels Fishing Story
I went fishing this morning but after a short time I ran out of worms. Then I saw a cottonmouth with a frog in his mouth. Frogs are good bass bait.
Knowing the snake couldn’t bite me with the frog in his mouth. I grabbed him right behind the head, took the frog, and put it in my bait bucket.
Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit. So, I grabbed my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little whiskey in its mouth.
His eyes rolled back, he went limp. I released him into the lake without incident and carried on fishing using the frog.
A little later, I felt a nudge on my foot.
There was that same snake with two frogs in his mouth.
Life is good in the south…

Interesting twist of fate. I wonder why he didn't clean the wound out with his own spirits like Clint Eastwood would after an arrow would go through his shoulder.

I hitch-hiked to Lynchburg, Tennessee when I was 19; because two people told me they'd give me a free quart.
When I got to Lynchburg a State Trooper, stopped and asked me for my ID.
When I told him I didn't have any,he said, "Ye mean ya ain't got a billfold or nuthin'?
Then he said, "Nuthin' personal, we do this to all the hitch-hikers," and took me to the jail, where they searched me and ran warrant checks on me.
I didn't have any warrants; so they let me take a shower, and had the trustee cook me up 4 eggs, with bacon, potatoes, and coffee: then they pointed me to the distillery.
I got there just in time for lunch: which was home cooked, and real good!
Everybody had dishes of food by them; and the lady of the house said, "To avoid confusion, everybody just pass to the left."
It was real good food; and everybody soon began talking like we were family, and always knew eachother.
So I, we went into the holy of holy's, and that's when I heard the most horrible thing I could imagine... The tour guide said, " Contrary to popular belief, we do not serve Jack Daniels at the Jack Daniels Distillery; but we do have sping water, and lemonade."
Lynchburg is in a dry county; and you can't even buy Jack Daniel's in it!
Well, everybody tried the spring water, and lemonade; and we ended up in front of a statue of Jack, getting a group picture.
For years Jack Daniel's sent me nice limited edition artwork, which 'd probably be worth something if I saved it.
I recently sent a friend there; and she had pretty much as good time as I did; but she didn't get a tour of the jail.
I only have one complaint about Jack Daniel's... the caps on their bottels leak!
For all that class, they should put better caps on the bottels.

I used to put J. D. In the humidifier part of my CPAP equipment.
