After what Hurricane Harvey in Texas did to the livelihood of people in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida including the Caribbean Islands, nothing rattles me.
Seeing what people went through to survive makes the saying "I am blessed" a reality.
Today a report of five people in a nursing home in Florida died because the facility lost electric power.
I think medical facilities in Florida should be required to have a generator.
However, a family that had a generator in their garage died from carbon dioxide. Apparently they didn't know that generators HAVE to be outside.
I can honestly say that nothing will rattle me for a long time after seeing so much destruction and loss of lives.

That is just awful,, i saw some footage on T V and i can only imagine what you are all
going through,,, we complain about our weather ,but, we don't have the extremes of weather you have there
I hope that with all the help that other countries will give, that things will get back to some semblance
of normality, as far as rebuilding is concerned,, it is the loss of life that is hardest to cope with.

I'm just about certain that they had the use of a generator. It has been reported that they shared one with a hospital located next door.
Depending on the type of Genset....when natural gas service is compromised or a diesel generator has run out of fuel say goodbye to the HVAC system.
It's still early in the investigation, but the officials are already putting their spin on events by saying the residents may have died from natural causes and not the heat.
