I hope someone will attempt to answer me but I doubt that anyone made proper reasurch to this "mystery puzzle. " It is legitimate question: why was Vietnam communist tottaly percived as enemies and not forma Yugoslav system & communist dictator Tito ?

This enquiry is talking about two different geopolitical situations; one of these countries only needed a pot to pee in, but the other needed a catheter.
Tito shunned both east and west powers and Yugoslavia had two separate defense plans. One defense plan was to protect against nato, the other to protect against a Warsaw Pact. Tito may have had expansion aspirations to only include Greece and a few other countries but he wasn’t into global communism. The threat never happened.
However in SE Asia...
The U.S. government viewed its involvement in the war as a way to prevent a communist takeover of South Vietnam, as part of the aim of stopping the spread of global communism.
Or ... Money... always follow the money.
