PeKaatje: actually, when two or more famous guitarplayers join on stage you get the greatest music.
But also I love this concert, an aquaintance of mine played the violin.
I love how B.B. King encouraged younger musical artists.
So, it’s interesting your friend played in the live concert with Steve Vai. While I listened to the entire video I couldn’t help but look at the last remaining part of any musical instrument I owned.
The photo below shows a piece of pernambuco wood with loose horse hair.. what is it called?

seems to be the Bow for a Bass or commonly known as Bass-Fiddle!
I could never muscle the bass-fiddle. No amount of rosin used could help me with that. Good eye though Conrad. It’s actually a full length short frogged violin bow.

deedee123xo: I'm a major Motown fan...I'd don't know if that goes under blues or not...but I love blues music too.
Armstrong is all about Jazz... this may sound corny but this spoken introduction version of What a Wonderful World is actually what made me think and focus on the environment to where I perused a long career in air quality environmental science....
Spoken intro:
"Some of you young folks been saying to me "Hey Pops, what you mean 'What a wonderful world'?
How about all them wars all over the place? You call them wonderful?
And how about hunger and pollution? That ain't so wonderful either."
Well how about listening to old Pops for a minute. Seems to me, it aint the world that's so bad but what we're doin' to it.
And all I'm saying is see what a wonderful world It would be if only we'd give it a chance. Love baby, love. That's the secret, yeah. If lots more of us loved each other we'd solve lots more problems. And then this world would be gasser.
That's wha' ol' Pops keeps saying."
I see trees of green, red roses, too I see them bloom, for me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world
I see skies of blue, and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself What a wonderful world

He had an amazing unique voice. I very much agree with his sentiment. We don't stop to smell the roses enough.
The world is perfect, we are the ones destroying it.
