rizlared: The main reason the Brexit is falling apart, is not because the referendum was poorly thought out or people who voted knew little about the actual terms or the future, it has taken a turn for the worse because the EURO leaders have acted in a way that was never considered, At no point did the British people get the slightest idea that drunks like Junker would do everything he could to stop the UK from leaving.

If the EU leadership had been a reasonable one, the UK could have negotiated an amicable split and a win win situation.

I see little purpose in blaming the British public for not knowing the whole truth, when in fact they mainly did know and understand.

I voted leave, but it was a close decision for me, I could see good and bad points on both sides, and it was not until the actual moment I voted that I made my mind up. If there is a second referendum, I would immediately vote leave, the way the UK has been treated is appalling and the sooner the UK is away from Junker and his sick supporters the better.

I cannot see how the UK can continue to be a part of the EU after all the bad feelings over the last year or two.
Remain would probably win if there was another election.

But no the people don't understand and a fast-food culture of instant gratification would be confused by the details. It's simple a case of the heart wants what it wants meets ask and ye shall receive. The gut says get out of the EU and this meets with gimmedat. That's what Brexit is, a gutsy gimmedat with virtually no practical understanding of how the world works.

ChesneyChrist: Cancel Brexit and makeus grovel to Remain it would be like the teaty of Versailles all over again. The next economic downturn would yield a genuinely fascist government in Britain. The permanent ill-feeling and sense of being stabbed in the back would be worse than anything Brexit brings.
Perhaps that's one of the worse scenarios. But beware that if you cancel Brexit and life in the EU is any less than heaven, the far-right will make massive gains off the back of it. Now do you believe the European Union will be heaven?

At the very least British working class degenerates into something like the American poor with that same level of alienation and despair. Rotherham begins to resemble the Bronx and Devon and Cornall become like rednecks, everywhere you go the little guy comes to be disenfrachised from life completely(which again the far-right will make massive gains from).

Trump described himself as Brexit times ten and I believe the way to create Brexit times ten is to suppress it. Britain is several years behind the decline of America and the trick is to NOT behave like pre-Trump America.

You're not much of an economist.

Since 2015 my price for a dental crown doubled, my pain medication went from $3.50 to $35, to $100; and my property tax doubled...

None of that money is being used to pay the national debt!

He's still borrowing!

While billionaires are getting massive tax breaks...

t's too late to turn back now, it looks as if the EU globalists are going to sting us another
13 billion if they string out our exit for another year. We should get out now just cut and run, leave the border question for later.

Tend to agree, but then British ex-pats living in the EU will become pawns, plus the EU elite will renegade and start demanding more payments.
May needs to grow some balls and make the EU realise they need to work with us not against us, at the moment they are walking all over the UK Government.

How will growing balls change the fact that the UK needs a deal more than the EU does?

The only difference between Eire & Northern Ireland is , Eire use the word "SO" at the end of a sentence e.g. "Are you going to the pub tonight so,? whereas their northern counterparts may say "SO" at the beginning eg "so, are you going to the pub tonight"?professor laugh
