Have Krampus Visited You Lately? ( Archived) (15)

For some kids these days, it may be a good idea to bring back this old legend. Might smarten them up.

In Central European folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as "half-goat, half-demon",who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved.

Santa is used as a bargaining tool by a lot of parents already. If kids don't behave, they get threatened with not getting any presents.

I personally think that's enough (at least for anyone that brought their kids up with boundaries) and scaring the crap out of them shouldn't be necessary.

I would also make sure to teach them that Christmas is not just about presents. wave

Maybe one year, but if you would have misbehaved and no monster would have broken down the door, it would be back to square one.

Autistic children have to be handled a little differently because they think different, normalizing autistic children will fail every time.

It wasn't recognized back when I was growing up. I was took to a specialist when I was 6 and scored 100% on all of their tests and back then, they didn't believe that a kid who could blow away the tests could have something wrong with them so they told my parents it was behavioral. No follow up, no nothing.

Santa isn't known to children as being scary..I've heard parents say we have to be good as Santa only comes to those who are good..That isn't bloody threatening at all..That's like saying if you don't eat a small portion of that vegetable there will be no desert..That isn't threatening either.

Those who don't like Xmas always have to carry on miserable.
