Usually rumors are started because of envy or jealousy such as yesterday when someone wrote a thread making negative comments about the Do You Remember thread. I wrote the DYR thread and it didn't bother me that a few tried to trash it. I always look at the source of negative comments and make my conclusion that they are living up to who they really are.
Other types of rumors are meant to be entertaining sometimes with comedy other times with hurtful comments. If it's a rumor there's nothing to believe because a fact wasn't presented to prove that it's true. The normal thing for to do is let it take it's own course and turn my back on it. I wouldn't go out of my way to fact check a rumor.

I know a member here who spreads false rumours, but does it so that many don't even realise it.
However, people are smart and do see through things.

Do posters that delete themselves also have their threads disappear? That's not my understanding. If this forum is like all other forums I've been on, if the mods delete someone then all traces other that quoted posts disappear. if you self delete your posts stay up.
