rohaan: hello lovie—so sorry for that. I was a rather timid, “awkward-at-fitting-in teen and young adult, but I had this tremendous best friend from grade- school on. He was possibly the gentlest, most unassuming person I’ve ever known. When we were in our late twenties, he suddenly developed an inoperable brain tumor and died...I’ve never gotten over it. Didn’t mean to go on, but wanted you to know how much I care about your feelings because of the same empathy.
Hi Ro
It was dreadful as I didn't have the opportunity to grieve. He was on holiday in a remote part of Sri Lanka with his wife and there was no communication to the UK. All news came from Colombo and I got a phone call asking me to inform Mum and Dad that he had died. Worst day of my life holding everyone together
I still miss him to this day 34 years later ,but his presence is still here as an angel on my shoulder.
