The deep critical thinker has become the misfit of the world, this is not a coincidence. To maintain order and control you must isolate the intellectual, the sage, the philosopher, the savant before their ideas awaken people. This will cause a mental implosion from lack of thought stimulating conversations and interactions with others which will lead to their demise. That is one of the greatest tragedies of our time, the unwelcomed thinker who’s brilliance will never be known. - Carl Jung

Sorry Pedro but to describe C. Jung's work as "great ideas and quotes" is to have very little idea on his work .... A psychiatrist and psychologist doesn't share "ideas". He was a key figure in the development of psychoanalysis and the founder of analytical psychology. His work was influential in many fields and not limited to psychiatry.

I really find his work on anima and animus interesting amongst other subjects. The anima is the unconscious feminine side of a man and the animus is the unconscious masculine side of a woman.
His wife Emma Jung wrote a really good book on the subject. "Animus and Anima".

Also interesting his work on the collective unconscious, archetypes, synchronicity and shadow amongst others.

I can relate to C. Jung's work way more than any of Freud's work.

Most workers at Macdonalds are zombies, so I don’t think being dead would have hindered his chances of a employment there .laugh

Carl Jung (1875 - 1961)

Swiss psychologist

An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough. One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feeling. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

Carl Jung
Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic be alcohol, morphine or idealism.

Carl Jung
Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to a better understanding of ourselves.

Carl Jung
Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.

Carl Jung
Nobody, as long as he moves about among the chaotic currents of life, is without trouble.

Carl Jung
Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment and especially on their children than the unlived life of the parent.

Carl Jung
The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.

Carl Jung

The healthy man does not torture others - generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers.

Carl Jung
The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.

Carl Jung

The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.

Carl Jung
We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.

Carl Jung
As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.

Carl Jung, "Memories, Dreams, Reflections", 1962
The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.

Carl Jung, "Modern Man in Search of a Soul"
Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other.

Carl Jung, "On the Psychology of the Unconciousness", 1917

I have a book "Jung and Tarot: An Archetypal Journey" by Sallie Nichols. I bought it while I was interested in tarot (that was quite a long time ago). Jung typology (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) is still pretty popular, although just for fun. For those interested in it here's the test:
