mbken: When people first get married in their 20's they would register with a certain store that supplied ideas for a wedding gift for the couple. When you are just starting out in life you seem to need everything.
But what do you get a couple who are getting married in their 50's? They have a house and have lived together for over 10 years. They have everything they need and are not registered anywhere.
I'm not going to comment but any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
A couple of ideas come to mind: 1. stationery and a book or two of stamps. Step it up by including return-address labels ( with THEIR name and address..). 2. A Harry &David *monthly gift box—each month they get a package of fruit, or candy, pastry, etc…or fresh flowers. Usually things that need to be consumed quickly…no storage problem. 3. Suppers in a “kit” mailed to them a few times a year. 4. A nice plant, such as Amarylis.
* or company like them…google them to get a full picture of what I’m talking about..
