Other house leaders have done the same thing but without stressing u.s. foreign policy. The potus does that. Our reps should be able to come and go where they please without fear of retaliation but Pelosi has bad timing. I think she has many selfish political agenda’s with her visiting Taiwan recently and its not with u.s. citizens best interest in mind. Then again she is not an u.s. first type of person.

It's hard not to be prejudiced about Mao. The man was responsible for the deaths of more people than anybody ever has. And China has only ever been successful by using Mao as an example of how not to do things, all of its prosperity came from ignoring the man completely.------ This thread is Archived ------

Mao was a thug who took Allied supplies to fight the Japanese, didn't do much of that, then used what he was given to fight the rightful government.
I was stationed on Taiwan during Vietnam, and still have a contact there. Taiwanese no longer want to be called Chinese and our current weak government causes them much concern.

Of course Kissinger likes China. I have no idea how he got his hooks so deep into US government. He is not for the US, only himself. Mao and his cohorts lead people into death and destruction. After he took over, more people died and were subjugated to suit his party ideas. But, Kia-shek was no hero either.
Bottom line on China is her people have always been preyed on by leaders after their own agenda. Their "freedom" has always been whatever their government in power allows them. I see the US heading down the same path. Like Pelosi. Now the Dems wish Biden go back into the basement. Pelosi and Shumer make the decisions and Biden is left out of the loop.

Last I knew her position is to regulate, guide and officiate the House. I dont remember Biden appointing her Secretary of the State, Ambassador or anything else.
Talk about an ego. Where does she get off ignoring her POTUS "suggestion" to NOT go to Taiwan?
I disagree with China thinking they own Taiwan. There was a war and a bunch of people fled to the island. Since then, established their own democracy and rule. Many of them do not think they are Chinese. They call themselves Taiwanese. Right or wrong, Pelosi had no right to stick her two cents worth into the mix and cause upset. That is Bidens role. Or someone he APPOINTS to go there.
It is just another sign she thinks she is the Queen of Congress and people should bow to her.
If I could talk to China, I would say, ignore the senile old drunk who has to get attention. She counts for nothing. And with luck, will end up kicked out the door. Or in jail. Along with her drunk, druggy husband.
