Well, Tiger, after this senile douchebag of a president they have now has been "lawfully" elected one starts to question how manipulated the vote could be. People had enough and even if the ways used to protect their right are intimidating some sensitive souls, that is the resultof too many lies and manipulation.

Lies and are one thing but standing by a voting poll armed with a gun is pretty sick don't you think.

No, I don't think it is sick. It says "I had enough"... People had enough, Tiger. The lies and arrogance went over the board. The normal people know their say have no value anymore, their lives are not in their hands. This is how revolutions start...And just about time too.
Be very grateful we don't have to walk the streets with those nut jobs
Hi Merc
People run the U.K. down as they do other countries but I found this report pretty scary to be honest. Why would anyone in their right mind stand in front of a polling station with a gun.
Any vote is or should be private so what exactly are they hoping to achieve. and how long before someone loses control and a person actually gets killed.
In times likes this the opposition are going to win more than likely. Trump lost 2020 for the same reason he will win next week and in 2024. As hard as it is for fanatics to accept maybe, the outcome will be determined by floating voters willing to vote for whoever isn't in charge now.

It's the sizable and silent minority from no man's land basically forgotten by the people in the trenches. The shy floating voters will decide as much as they seemingly don't exist, they're just being made to be quiet by how loud everyone else is.
People who live in some of the most controlled societies are the loudest to protest against rights... And no, I'm not talking China or North Korea. I'm talking those who don't believe someone will even dare control them or deprive them iof their "rights". They simply don't realise they've been screwed...

Our political system is in a bloody awful mess at the moment Ten and yes we could be heading for a General Election at some point . Party leaders are chosen by an internal process normally in advance of a general election, but heaven forbid someone should be stood outside our polling stations trying to manipulate the voting system.
I have never felt " controlled" or even "deprived of my rights" whatever others think even though I do get angry at party politics and the shenanigans that take place.
Please don't bring Covid into this discussion because it never controlled us that much . We just carried on but carefully.
Tiger_Moth: Sorry you feel that way about my thread. I'm actually not bothered who's in charge of your country as I don't live there and also we have a huge problem over here too with regards leadership.
What I was shocked at was the gun at a polling station.
That’s not shocking at all imho. What is shocking are gun free zones and the need for teachers and preachers here to be armed because of the politically Left trying to manipulate and destroy our youth and religeons in the USA.

Hi Gal ,so good to see you back here and hope all is well with you.
Guess if you live in a country where guns are part of your life it would not seem out of context. Must be me and my peaceful existence I guess.
@10, well said. You actually understand liberty, and that sometimes it’s necessary to make a stand.
Btw, I see people at the grocery store carrying guns. Does that mean they’re gonna stop someone from buying Cheetos or milk?
Oh, and they’re not at polling stations, they’re making sure the early drop boxes are not being stuffed.
Disconnect from MSM, particularly CNN-MSNBC-ABC-CBS, they’re staffed by BMGF students, and there are only 6 corporations that own the majority of media. Fact.
Look at who funds NGOs. Look at whom they fund.
Want to know what’s going on? Follow the money. Then ask ‘why’?
Stan_147: Funny, the rational posts are thumbs downed.

I'm actually not interested in the political or financial side of this whatever people think. I happened to see it whilst on line and asked in my opening heading "is this true" as I was taken back by it.
As someone already stated in a previous thread "guns kill" and in the wrong hands they do as mass shootings have shown.

Guns are tools, inanimate objects. It’s the hard heart that kills.
Explain the increase in the knife attacks all over Europe and the UK, please. I read about these incidents almost daily now.
They’re just another tool. Right?
It’s all ‘scripted’, but that’s a different topic.

Because we banned guns in 1997 after the Dunblane Massacre so the knife became the weapon. Here in the U.K. we have made an attempt to control the use of weapons and had a knife amnesty too. The image below shows a statue made from knives handed in. Unfortunately you will never stop humans trying to destroy each other .
100,000 knives The Knife Angel (also referred to as the National Monument Against Violence & Aggression) is a contemporary sculpture formed of 100,000 knives created by artist Alfie Bradley and the British Ironworks Centre, based in Oswestry, England.

Very nice initiative, Tiger, useless all the same. Glasgow is the murder capital of Europe... And Stan is right, your news are horrific to read and it's a daily matter as well. I wonder if guns were allowed where would the crime rate stand?!
