A good start. Ireland a bit unlucky. Probably missed Amber Barrett goal threat up front. Katie McCabe played ok too.

Won’t watch a bunch of lesbians trying to play football .
I don’t know why they are overhyping a tournament no footie fan has any interest in when you have the golf open & the ashes .

Butcher559: I didn't watch the game Bods, was the ref a bit one sided ?
I see a few guys a bit an*l about women playing footie, what's with that
I didn't see the game, just a few highliights so can't really say.
Old atitudes die hard but the tide is turning. Despite what one poster has said on here, womens football is enjoying record attendances, paticularly in the bigger tournaments. It's quite shocking to note that womens football was banned by the Football Association in 1921, the ban lasted for 51 years. What were these men of the FA so afraid of?

Grandsiozzie: Low quality?
Have you watched any of the top teams? USA? Germany? England?
Just wondering.

i didn't realize Rapinoe & Morgan were still on team USA.
In that case, I will not be watching any games.
they had to bring gender into the sport rather than just playing the damn game and keeping their mouths shut. I watch sports to get away from all of the political correctness crap - not have more of it shoved down my throat.

bodleing2: I played football in the States in 2001, the women were more than capable of competing with the men.
Maybe the men there were less rough
