I was reading some life insurance policies this weekend, death by riot wasn't covered.
This particular riot had over 1,000 young scholars participating. So the police were definitely overwhelmed.
And they can't win. If they put it down "Kent State" style, they vilified and if they stand back and watch, they are labeled shirkers.
It is hard for me to have any sympathy for a rioter getting smacked down by the police, regardless of age.

as already mentioned by some one else earlier; if it's riot related, i have no sympathy. too many years now, riots create a huge amount of damages and costs to tax payers and no one held accountable.
however, if you're a demonrat opponent, you might be indicted for a mostly peaceful protest for legally, and rightfully, questioning election resaults.
the problem i'm seeing is that there doesn't seem to be many if any, known, main stream media outlets picking up the story yet.
but then again, the WH just revoked about 440 press passes. easier to lie to the public that way i guess. maybe it stretches further than we think through executive fiat?
cat is right. there doesn't seem to be enough to fully authenticate but there is video available some where. which reminds me that i should let it be known that at least one site i tried checking with, had the video and story of the "Winshield" removed.
