I am one who strongly believes in the rapture. I believe that it will be the rapture that will bring many Jews to believe that christ is the son of God.I also believe that it will bring about the rise of the antichrist. Many will be deceived.I pray that I will not be one of them.I would much rather believe in Jesus & his death & ressurection than to be left behind.
It is very unfortunate that religion has become a big bussiness. However it shouldn't interfere with your faith in God and in Jesus. Keep in mind his humbleness, and that he wanted to teach by example. By the way, you won't remember what pizza was, or carbs, assuming you are on the right track, I hope. Imagine yourself light and complete in a way that cannot be surpassed.
I'm a Pre-Trib believer and Matthew 1:17 tells us that all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and all the generations from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and all the generations from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. When we add fourteen plus fourteen plus fourteen, the total is forty-two generations from Abraham to Christ. The great chronologist, Thiele, has said that from Abraham to Christ, we have a total of 2,160 years. If we divide forty-two generations into that, and the length of a generation becomes 51.4 years (ball park). Mathew 24:32-25 tells us that the generation that sees the blooming of the fig tree will also witness the Return of our Lord. What is the fig tree? Joe 1:6, 7 explains that nations come against His fig tree the nation of Israel. So the fig tree is in reference to Israel. Israel captured Jerusalem in 1967 many (myself included) believe this started the last generation. If you add 51.4 (ball park) to 1967 and it comes out to 2,018. This is why, though we can not set a specific date, we believe that the Lord's return could happen between now and 2,018.
Something to ponder, if you like to read the Bible and do math problems therein as I do. _________________
But in here is the issue. The generations at that time were not as we count them today, and this person di, but from birth to death. And according to the bible, they lved such long times and some as long as 600 years? So that would alter the math, wouldn't it?
You are talking pre-flood times and Mosiac times. In the times of Christ a generation was about 70 years. Thus that math problem could be off by 20 years (ball park) if it fact it's true at all. It's just something to ponder.
keith when you say you are a pre-trib believer are you saying the rapture will happen before the tribulation? If so,That is also what I believe, because the Bible says the believers will be kept from the tribulation.I also believe that we are living in the end times. With everything going on in the middle east it's hard not to believe that it will happen soon.Who knows for sure though. However,I would much rather live my life as if it could happen at any moment.
I don't think fact or not is the issue, but how much Man has changed it to fit his needs. I mean here, when I read the Latin and Greek versions, there were so many changes in the King James version, that it leaves one to wonder, how many other changes there was between then and now. I have a friend, that is a Methoidist Minister, and he often says not to take the word as written, but as your heart says. He will refer to the changes as well, and that the amount of changes are beyond knowing now.
I understand you concern about God's Word. I'm also a Bible Scholar. I went through three years of Bible college. I know both Hebrew and Greek, when you say you read Greek versions are we talking about the Tanakh? I'm certain I can read both Bibles together and the same message will be delievered. There are some words in both Latin and Greek that are omitted because of the language barrier. Not because of the scholars incompetence to complete the cross over of the 1611 KJV.
When I was born again I believed I would go to heaven, but now I am a backslider. I repent often, but I stuff up more often. I know that the Lord wipes the slate clean when you repent, God forgive me for I sin often, I need your grace & the blood of Jesus to make me clean.
I have always believed that once you become saved life doesn't get easier it just gets harder.Stay strong in your faith & always remember that only one is perfect.I hate it when non-believers say that christians think they are perfect.I just tell them quite the opposite is true.If I was perfect I wouldn't need a Jesus Christ in my heart. Also remember that no sin is greater than another in God's eyes. Have you ever heard of KLOVE?It's a christian radio station. There are different stations all over. It's all I listen to.I'm not sure who sings it but they play a song on there called "What Sin" It's awesome.

None of us are perfect...I have to ask for forgiveness on a daily basis. I do not mean to mess up but I still do. God is ever Faithful to forgive and welcome us back. Remember the story of the Prodigal son? That is how God is..He stands and waits for us to return with open, loving and forgiving arms.
Actually it's FM.Yes it is national. You can go to their website to find a station near you or listen to it online. My kids even like listening to it.Pretty awesome!!
