Well for me I do not lose interest, I just run like hell. Unless he comes straight out with the fact that he definetly is interested in me , I run like hell after a bit. Too many mixed messages for me. Sad but true.

No, I'm not nervous about engaging in conversation or other communication (email, chat, whatever), because I can only get interested in someone up to a point through these means of communicating. I become intrigued, attracted mentally, curious to know more, and very interested....but I have to meet and be face-to-face with a man before my emotions become a part of the picture, if at all. So, communication doesn't make me fear getting hurt; it's only if I start to feel something real after being with him in person that I give any thought to the possibility of being hurt. But, hey...if I wasn't willing to take the risk, I'd sit on my couch and watch "House" and fantasize about Hugh Laurie instead of being online or going out socially. I learned a long time ago that there are no guarantees in life...if I don't risk being hurt, I don't risk happiness, either...I just exist.

After getting hurt myself, yes I would be nervous about engaging to much conversation, until I got over being hurt, then I would just slowly move back into communication.
