An example of what a hidden agenda could mean:
Saying things and doing things that imply wanting a relationship, being really interested in a woman etc... THEN, after the woman/man is reeled in, there's a BIG change of heart..cooling off...and disappearing. The hidden agenda might have been: just looking for great company, a great woman/man for ego boost, maybe physical intimacy, someone to make a person get back his/her self esteem after a recent break up.... but... NOTHING ELSE!!

hi Twinny sis I agree with your post but then again there could be other reasons like for ex: he\she can be still married or maybe to fill in a gap. As i always beleive we, can never ever understand men's behaviour.

Seems like you've put it in a nutshell. I guess that you can't really tell what a man/woman is after...unless you really get to know them over some good time. Actions don't always follow their words (most probably blurted out in the initial *wave* of attraction).
I guess a few HONEST words when two people meet and are attracted to each other would be: Listen, I like you but I don't really KNOW what I want at this stage... so let's just enjoy each other's company and see where it goes. -- That would not mislead anyone, and each one would feel relaxed to either stay or leave (depending on how things are taking shape.) NO expectations on either side. HONESTY might hurt .. but *hidden agendas* hurt even more.

This particular quotation is what I sense as a deliberate target of some people's "hidden agendas" . It is heard many tomes, it has been said many times by various posters who have come here seemingly with good open attitudes, made a few posts and then made the same statements before they withdrew totally. No wonder there is basically only a very small minority here on these forums; always has been...makes one wonder about "hidden agendas" There is a pattern it does seem. So many that have quit or withdrawn can't be all wrong as had been suggested several months ago. Right.
Well not exactly ...or only that. What I feel she is saying is:
Be honest about what you want or are ready for.
Don't mess with my head or my emotions.
Don't promise things you're not going to deliver.
but:
some people do exactly the opposite, and mislead, to get exactly what they want: the hidden agenda!!
Many times Words and charm may get somebody what he/she wants, but in the end it only ends up leaving the other person hurt and scratching their head about the sudden *CHANGE* in character, distancing....etc..

Funny really,cause (sometimes) the very people who say "no hidden agendas" and " no games" and "no lies"such like are the very ones who themselves have hidden agendas and like to play games and tell lies(both men and women)and what they are doing is a) projecting how they really are,or b)trying to make you believe that they wouldn,t do such things. Of course,this is not always true. However,at the very least this sounds like somebody who has had a bad experience. For what it,s worth, I don,t think it,s good to be opening a new relationship effectively saying "ok,just so you know,don,t try to screw me over". And that,s my centime worth. Happy Sunday all.

Now, my question, what could be a hidden agenda when it comes to dating and meeting people? Like: "hey, dont you be one of those guys that will sell off my kidneys the first chance he gets" hidden agenta thing??
And by all means, i mean no disrespect to the certain lady nor am i making fun of her, it is an honest question out of pure curiosity
