fun_loving_4u: Hello everyone,
I was just wondering whether this site really works or am i a bad person at heart. i have been trying to get a date, writing mails, sending flowers ... but no luck till now :((
May be the expectations of the girls are higher than what i meet ..
any advice from people on how to be "successful" in getting a date online ? :)

You can do it, I met my sweetheart on this site!! how long have you been on the site?? maybe you could sign up for that CS meeting in the USA,,,might be fun if you can swing it.

First, let me welcome you.
By the looks of things, you have not been here long.
I'll let you in on something... you don't get a 30 day guaranteed date.
It takes patience... lots of patience.
You need to have a good look around, explore your social options & be realistic.
Self deprecation is not helpful or attractive. Lose it.
You are not the first nor will you be the last to discover that flowers & letters do not get returned.
It's the equivalent of walking up to every girl in a bar and saying "gee your pretty". You'll find many wont even respond. It happens. Try not to personalize the lack of responses. It would be different if you had been here for years(like some of us), social in the forums & never gotten a flower returned.
Basically, learn to socialize. There is much to be learned by spending a little time in the forums. Read blogs, posts your thoughts, be yourself & take you time.
Most of all, try to enjoy the experience.

I've met some wondrful people on this site in he little over a year I've been here. Some of who I'm happy to say are great friends, so even if you're not lucky in love, you are bound to meet some excellent folks in the process.
Just join into the forums, you'll get to know people better that way.

May i suggest that you be yourself ... do not stress on finding ... and enjoy meeting people in forums.

Persaverance,determination,positive thinking and sendind flowers,messages,cards and getting known in forums doesn't hurt either.Since being here,have met more men outside of this site.Yet,I think of this as homegood people,fun freinds and some educational issues explored.I know some who met here are married or livin together.Some have never gotten more than 1 message.Give it time,enjoy being here and maybe your partner will appear,hope so.
