I dont hate her.. I just personally dont like what she stands for.. but all of the reading in the world isnt going to change my mind now. mind made up already
It's not that I dislike her that much. I have difficulty putting my finger on it. It is certainly not because she is a woman. Perhaps, to me, it just seems like she is more of the same old same old politician. That is perhaps what I find so inspiring about Obama. Just my .02
Indyfella: It sounds like beating a dead horse, but I think the above is only 1 example of why people have distain for Hillary. Any woman who would live with a man knowing that if even ONLY 1 of one of the many allegations to be true, really has no moral compass. Zero-zilch. Only a thirst for power. JMO~
Hillary has a thirst for power? My God, why oh why would you say that?
the same fundementalist that say a marriage is forever...is berating Hillary for sticking by her husband through rough times. The same people who talk about their family values want to punish a woman for staying married and working things out when the road was tough!
shipoker55: Notice this!! No one has yet answered Oslo's question!! the rhetoric keeps coming in...but no intelligent answers!! They have no reason, that is why!! One person has stated that she is power hungry...but no response to all politicians being power hungry!! A statement to tell of her good points was all that could be conjured up when asked why she is hated.
The fact seems to be...people don't like her. But they can't even say why!! seems pretty infantile to me!!
It probably won't make sense to you, but I don't like her because of good ol' Bills antics. He lacked a moral compass and she was a doormat that put up with it..if you want a spineless prez elect a squid... JMO
and I see it as strength...to stand beside the man she swore before God to see through thickness and thin...and meant it!! That to me says something about her resolve and integrity
Oslojente: Thanks, you kind of hit the nail on the head here I think...
But I still want to know whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy??
I don'tlike Hillary Clinton because of her perceived personality. She comes over as somebody who is just totally calculating. Her husband did wrong things, but at least he had genuine charisma and people warmed to him.
It has nothing to do with her being a woman.
Some people you just like and some you don't. I don't feel she comes across as genuine and everything she does has just been to gain power.
So, somebody said all politicians are corrupt - maybe I'd prefer to deal with an affable corrupt politician rather than one I instantly disliked.
Margaret Thatcher in the UK was a woman Prime Minister; many people hated her but boy did she have character...I ended up disliking her but admired what she achieved in her first few years - I feel nothing for Hillary Clinton.
shipoker55: and I see it as strength...to stand beside the man she swore before God to see through thickness and thin...and meant it!! That to me says something about her resolve and integrity
My take on it was she stood by him for the power and wealth...my opinion of somebody that puts up with that will never be swayed, but you are welcome to have your opinion as well and we can let the people of the country speak
shipoker55: As I said...she is a politician! No different than any other!!
I guess we can just agree to disagree on that. Politicians telling lies is a given. Electing people into office with what is already a shady past seems foolish. Then again haven't we (Americans) shown ourselves to be foolish in the past.
She'll get the nomination anyway. She's advocating for the Florida and Michigan's votes to count in the primaries. (they were initially prohibited for moving their primary dates up) If they count, votes will go to her.
Then with all the backdoor dealings w/the super-delegates and as Brian Schuster (of MSNBC) saying Bill and Hillary are pimping Chelsea to contact the super-delegates. Basically the party "fathers" don't trust the electorate to make a good decision.
Barack will be relegated to opening the doors for Hillary and Bill at the white house.
Got to head out in a minute...but I'll close on this thought.
The voting booth is to some degree considered to be a "sacred" place. You don't need to have a reason to vote for anyone, or vote against them. You can hate them because they are black, white, female, male, short, tall, ugly, beautiful or just cuz.
Hopefully people will not use any of the above as their voting criteria, but if they do....that's life~
As a footnote, usually short, fat, bald men w/beards don't get elected.
shipoker55: and I see it as strength...to stand beside the man she swore before God to see through thickness and thin...and meant it!! That to me says something about her resolve and integrity
Is it the "man" she stands beside, or is it the power & money??

My fiest ruke is do not try being someone else when tyou have no idea...It just isn't genuine and is what we call.."pandering for votes".
