There are a group of regulars in the chat just like there are on the forums. You must have simply missed them. I don't know when they are most active, but like all things, sometimes things are just slow.

Chat rooms tend to get very disorganized & confusing very quickly.
Imagine... if all the posters from the forums tried to gather in just three chat rooms,
all three would go topsy-turvey in a flash. The speed of a chat room is not a comfortable & welcoming environment for the free expression of thought like in the forums.
No, I don't need to restrict my thinking to a quarter of second, four word answers, thanks.
Knock yourself out, enjoy... I'll be stimulating my brain in the wordy forums instead.

I've been in some very comfortable, welcoming, brain-stimulating chatrooms, where we practiced free expression of thought and multi-word answers, I'll have you know.
Perhaps you didn't mean your answer to sound as haughty as it did?

As Robert said, some of us are old. Now, when one is old it is very important (and often troublesome) to remain "regular". We also become "most active", but usually at the wrong times. And yes (
), the only thing that is no longer slow for us is our next birthday.....
