And would you recommend it?

I'm reading The Broker by John Grisham - yes, it's a good book that I found on the bookcase and realized I hadn't read this one.

I'm also reading Debt of Honor by Tom Clancy - Tom Clancy books are always good if you like a bit of intrigue and action.

Also reading -- hmm - can't remember the name of this one - but it's a MS Office 2007 book. I'm going for MOS certifications and need to brush up on my excel formulas.

My daughter and I are also reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix again. We've read them before, but we enjoy reading together and this is the book she chose. Anything to keep a kid reading.

I think that's all at the moment. I'm always reading 3-4 books at a time. I pick up whichever interests me most at the moment.

coursework stuff on restorative justice - the kind of stuff where the offender meets up with the victim and others and is made aware of the impact of their deeds, the objective is to shame them into feeling so bad that they will go along with programmes which work towards making amends - but I would much rather be reading Harry Potter again too grin

I intend to start on 'The Broker' as soon as I finish 'The Blue Zone'. Its quite an interesting book about the witness protection programme of the FBI. I heard good things about 'The Broker', we shall see..

comfort When you read that stuff. Do you.Trish normally read between the lines and how many cups of coffee keeps you awake? laugh

Well ... have never watched or read "Dune " so now I feel like a right time to start. So I've read first 30 pages ... want to know what's gonna happened next professor

Oh yeah and Jeep Cherokee manual, pruning techniques and Plant Catalogs are the main read these days. Spring!

Morning Lady .... and gone I am time to wash and wax my baby girl.

Have a great one wave cheers

applause applause applause I loved both of those... they are both part of my "permanent" collection. I read so much and am swapping books contantly but there are the few, the great, that stay in my permanent collection!

I just picked up a book but haven't started it yet called Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. I initially picked it up because its over 900 pages and should keep me going for a week, but after reading the authors bio... I can't wait to dig into it!

Dune is good but the sequels are disappointing. Film is very poor. Why would you wax a baby? Is that a Russian or a Canadian practice? Is it for some kind of pageant? laugh wave

I read as little as I can get away with of all that stuff and in just a few weeks I can get back to novels - woohoo - there is a new Stephen Donaldson one (late last yr) that i just cant wait to get my hands on - Fatal Revenant, I think the series is called Wounded Land........ this is about the 5th

Oh I just know you have a great treat in store reading Dune - I so loved all those books - around the same time I read lots and lots of science fantasy. As FM says, the film really isnt up to much. Have you read Riverworld by Philip Jose Farmer or any of the Stephen Donaldson trilogies?

Another of my best ever faves are the Clan of the Cavebear books by Jean Auel, theres lots of plantlore (well researched too) in those ones which if you havent already found I know you will love wave

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing My "permanent collection" is so huge. Before I moved to this house, I even had a small bookcase in the bathroom. Bookcases in every room.

I donated loads of boxes of books to the library, but still have so many. And now I want to cut them by half before we move. Thats sooo hard for me to do.
