A Friend of mine, just sent this to me.. and told me to pass it along so here it is....

Pass it on......

Menstrual cycle - very important send to all your friends.

I am sure most of you have a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a
friend or a friend's daughter... this might be worth checking out. PASS
THIS ON EVEN IF YOU DON'T USE IT!!

Recently, this past week, my cousin Nicole Dishuk (age 31... a newly
graduated student with a doctoral degree about to start her new care er
as a Doctor...) was flown into a nearby hospital, because she passed
out. They found a blood clot in her neck, and=2 0immediately took her by
helicopter to the ER to operate. By the time they removed the right half
of her skull to relieve the pressure on her brain, the clot had spread
to her brain causing severe damage. Since last Wednesday night, she was
fight ing for her life. They induced her into a coma to stop the blood
flow and then operated 3 times.

Finally, they said there was nothing left that they could do. Multiple
clots in the left side of her brain were found, the swelling wouldn't
stop and she was on the life support. She died at 4:30 that day. She
leaves behind her husband, a 2-year old, Brandon and a 4-year old, Justin.

The CAUSE of DEATH they found was a birth control she was taking that
allows you to only have your period 3 times a year. Doctors said it
interrupts life's menstrual cycle, and although it is FDA approved... it
shouldn't be. So to the women in my address book, I ask you to boycott
this product and deal with your periods once a month, so you can live
the rest of the months that life has in store for you.

Please send this to every woman you know - you may save someone's life.
Remember you have a cycle for a reason.

FYI: The name of this new birth control is Lybrel. If you go t o
Lybrel.com you will find a least 26 pages of information regarding this
drug. The secon d birth control is Seasonique. If you go to
Seasonique.com you will find at least 43 pages of information regarding
this drug. The warning and side effects regarding both pills are horrible.

Please forward this to as many daughters AND sons, co-workers, friends
and relatives. Several lives have already been changed.

Sorry it didn't post the direct links in blue, and I don't know how to do that...

This is a very sad story. I heard about the effects this birth control could do to you. Thank you for posting this because there are plenty of women out there that haven't got a clue.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone actually died. It is unnatural to stop you cycle.

Thank you for this warning.
A friend of mine died, the combination of smoking and birth control pills is a deadly combination too.

To get the attention this kind of post warrants the headline should scream;

For the ladies; this can be very dangerous to take"
or something like that to get the attention.
Try it again no kidding!

Nowadays new drugs are being appproved for use much quicker and with less safety data than they were in the past. This is not unusual for drugs that are for conditions in which in no treatment exists, but it seems to be occurring more frequently for drugs that are simply replacements for those that are still on the market.

The FDA is short staffed and is not doing a great job of following up on requirements for additional safety studies post approval. In some cases the drug makers are not doing them at all and are basicaly using the market place as their study.

Its always a good idea to stay with the tried and true products until the new drug has been on the market for a few years, has been used by a larger population and has a demonstrated safety record over time. It's also a good idea to take the safety warnings on the package seriously. Too many people don't and discover the consequences the hard way.

I for one would neer recommend cycle regulation as in the frequency regulation drugs .. NEVER .. whether approved or not.

Its still okay to have depot birth control meds for long term .. but regular cycles i think is must.

Such things make me go so mad !!very mad

Thank you, Tater. I'll second the salute to a man for not being afraid to post this...kudos for that.

I hope you don't mind if I copy and paste this. I have no daughters, but I belong to a group with several women of all ages in it, some of whom might consider this option.

Yes, many women complain about their cycles, but we've been dealing with it and complaining about it for millenia, they just need to continue doing so. And stories like this from drug companies, not to mention many other side effects to drugs, is why I'm going to school to be a Naturopath. (Yes, some medicines do good, but too many could be avoided.)

tip hat
