Acceptance of one's life has nothing to do with resignation; it does not mean running away from the struggle. On the contrary, it means accepting it as it comes, with all the handicaps of heredity, of suffering, of psychological complexes and injustices. Paul Tournier

somechick: Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. ~Judy Garland
I agree wholeheartedly. But I also think that was what ultimately ended Judy's life. She was just so HUGE it was hard to keep being who she was, and living up to everyone's high standards for her.
somechick: Hi claayer. I have this quote hanging on my wall where I can always see it.
I just received this from my very dear friend, as he knows my situation at this time in my life. "I don't care if you live, die, or grow mushrooms in your crack"
Say that to someone who has hurt you in someway and most likely you will be left alone.

Judy was a famous singer/actress and what happened in her life and how she lived has absloutely nothing to do with why I like this quote.
There's several people in the music business as well who were/are on drugs and booze but that didn't stop me from enjoying their music.

I wouldn't dream of saying something like that to anyone. I sure wouldn't consider him a friend.
