somechick: I know it's very easy to be blinded by hurt but I feel if I can't forgive someone when they hurt me then I wouldn't be much of a friend.
I agree wholeheartedly with you... but some people can't see past the hurt....It's very easy to feel sorry for themselves and even if the hand of friendship is offered..
It can hurt even more if their feelings are strong, even maybe a feeling of love...in a hope that the other may learn to love them to...
Eventually when a calmer thoughts arrive..... a friendship will evolve

Like the poem on this forum says Time Heals All Wounds.
srvfan: Acceptance of one's life has nothing to do with resignation; it does not mean running away from the struggle. On the contrary, it means accepting it as it comes, with all the handicaps of heredity, of suffering, of psychological complexes and injustices. Paul Tournier
Very nice..
I would like to add a quote of my own..
If you ever find true love, or it finds you, never let it slip through youf fingers, because you may never find it again.. By Daniel
I read from the Quotable Star Trek book by Jill Sherwin.
Here is one of my favorites:
"The only thing I can do. Stay here and finish the job I started. And if I fail..." "I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith."
-Bengiamin Sisko and Joseph Sisko Source: Paul the Apostle, second Epistle to Timothy, Chap 4, Verse 7. Deep Space Nine/Far Beyond The Stars
And the other one, I have attached to my email signature:
"I believe there's a hero in all of us who keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams." - May Parker
Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn! Look to this Day! For it is Life, the very Life of Life. In its brief course lie all the Verities and Realities of your Existence. The Bliss of Growth, The Glory of Action, The Splendor of Beauty; For Yesterday is but a Dream, And To-morrow is only a Vision; But To-day well lived makes Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness, And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope. Look well therefore to this Day! Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!
Benjamin Sisko: That may be the most important thing to understand about humans. It is the unknown that defines our existence. We are constantly searching, not just for answers to our questions, but for new questions. We are explorers. We explore our lives day by day, and we explore the galaxy trying to expand the boundaries of our knowledge. And that is why I am here: not to conquer you with weapons or ideas, but to coexist and learn.
