Mastic, there's nothing that I've seen that makes you unfit to date. Not even in what you said. Well sweetie, not everyone is materialistic. I for one most certainly am not. I would much rather someone offer their time and affection any day of the week, over some paid for gift or expensive dinner. I mean you can have a much better time cooking a meal at home and enjoying great conversation. Doing something like that wouldn't cost hardly anything. As for the turmoil, arent we all really at some point??!! cheer up someone is out there, they just haven't come along yet.

I hear ya'. I had someone from C/S (doesn't come into the forums) visit me and I swear i should have given him a mirror to date he was that full of himself. I changed my profile a bit because of it.

Everybody has their struggles...and although some make it look easy...trust me it isn't...People think that about me...and always have but they have no idea how much it has taken and the struggles I have been through to get to where I am today...and that's not very far after having to start all over again...certainly not as far as I would like to be and planned to be for sure!!!!!

We are ALL used caddies!!!! Most of us anyway from what I have read in the forums!!!
What a lot of people put in their profiles is only one bit of their reality, the bit that sounds good!!!

A- don't believe everything you read in profiles- that is the very best case scenario of their life- plus it may be total lies.
B. believe in yourself- not everyone believes that money buys happiness- sure it helps smooth over the hard times, but it isn't the b-all and end-all.
C. you obviously have a job and work every week at it- so that shows you are a responsible person, whether you earn $100 a week or $10,000- so be proud of yourself
D we all have cr*p in our lives- to us it may seem like a big deal but to the right person, it will be a molehill/
hang in there and rely on your personality, not your finances- you don't really want someone who wants you for what you can give them financially
