Are our elected officials so worried about being re-elected thqt they would pass most anything to keep their cushy jobs? and get home to shake hands and kiss babies and make more promises to their constituents.
If I was to receive the Ax today I can last until January... if I canceled Christmas.

I suppose if I changed my lifestyle... eat oatmeal for breakfast, beans and cornbread for dinner and adjusted my life to drink only tap water I could make it a year....who am I kidding, drink only tap water... the beans and cornbread alone daily would reduce my social life

Im only 28 and haven't been in the work force long enough to have a substantial savings or 401k. I do have a mortgage, student loans and car which is needed because of the lack of good public transportation. I could prolly survive a few months before going postal.

You find a way to survive , you take a crap job and work part time at another crap job. You stop eating cavior and start eating rice.
I've been in times that the floor has fallen out from under me , and i've learned that i'm not scared , just pull up the boot straps and trudge on.
Dennis ( a lot of us are going to face the ax, but eventualy the smoke will clear )
