hollandgirl: No animals right now as I plan to travel. My neighbour would take care of a cat for two weeks but that is where she draws the line.
Hi hollandgirl,
I have a gorgeous dog called, Amber. She is a red heeler cross, predominantly heeler, which is a highly intelligent, Australian cattle dog. She is a joy to all who meet her, and so glad we adopted her from Animal Welfare as an abused, 8yr old. Had we not taken her, she would surely have been put down, spare the thought.
I have travelled a bit this year, and my parents would glad take her except that my son prefers her to remain home with him. But I can understand it's not always so easy to have sitters for our animals, and they do need lots of attention, just as we do.

I would get another animal in a heart beat if I was finished traveling. I soo miss my furry friends.
where do i start. i think the craziest animal i have is rooster named hank. he is my dads and is mean.if he sees you. run he will attack you. he is very strong. he looks like foghorn leghorn but is meaner than crap. he chases the dogs. he is fast.
We are owned by several critters: 7 Banty Chickens - Alfred Ridgecock ('Alfie' our little rooster) and his harem (Lilly, Millie, Winter, Littlebit and the Twins) - Patty the Chihuahua, the Schnausers (Omar and Buddy), a cat named Atila and a Dog named Spartacus.
i have 2 males hamsters. one albino with a brite red eye and dark red eye, he is also the size of a regular hamster who has had babies. then the other who is multi colors of brown all over with with white rings around his eyes, hes the skinny one. they are both a half breed of regular and teddybear hamsters.
I forgot to mention that we also own several trout (both Browns and Rainbows) and part of a cow, but they "live in the freezer" and we only bring them out one meal at a time...

I bet they really enjoy getting out and getting to sit at the table with you.
I have a deer some dove and a pig that we let out and sit at the table and have dinner with us.
We have 10 goldfish,a Rat Terrorist. We feed the neighborhood cat(no one knows who he belongs to but everyone acts like its their cat)Not counting the farm animals. And we just added a very small Eastern King snake to the mix.

If they would let me on a plane with an ax I could come out there and take care of him for you.
I've had many roosters and they were all mean! I've never owned a nice rooster yet. These days I've eliminated all roosters from my flock of hens (12 at the moment) all big brown egg layers.
About "Hank", you realize of course that he could cause you a world of trouble if he ever attacked a child. A rooster like you describe can do some serious damage to a childs face including taking an eye out with their spurs. This was a contributing factor of why I got rid of my roosters. Think about it.
I have 2 cats. A grey tabby named Chloe and a solid black tabby named Sofie. I've had them since they were 12 weeks old, and aside from a few trips to the vet for shots and spaying, they've never been apart since the day they were born.
I have what I call a dog and what she thinks is a person...the boss and any other number of descriptive human words....Her name is Missie....and she's as goofy as the day is long.....
