It depends on the situation, the girl, and her feelings for you. If you barely know her and you compose a song for her she may either be flattered or she may flee the other way. I know a lot of people are saying they'd be attracted to you or be flattered, but that's because most people on the forums are sweethearts, not every girl outside of here is. Just tread cautiously.

Follow your instincts then you will never have to regret that you didn't do it. I am hoping for you it turns out how you want it to. Keep in mind how she reacts. I do a lot of writing or I did until recently. It's your soul going into that poem. If she reacts well great but if she is snarky you just put yourself out there for someone who didn't deserve it. Do it anyway it's part of living and experiencing life.
