Looks interesting...and lengthy. I'll give it a read sooner or later.
I'm not a Christian, but I do love Jesus' preachings of love in the new testament. Whether he existed or not, nothing can take away from his powerful message.
druidess6308: I take it he's an atheist. Sorry...I didn't read the entire thing, it got way too dogmatic for me, but I got that much out of it.
I'm not a Christian, but I'm not an atheist either. I have my own set of beliefs based on what feels right to me of God and the Universe.
One of my favorite philosophers is Deepok Chopra.
Yes, he is an atheist. It´s not so much that as it is the reasoning that attracts me. I think Deepak Chopra is very good too. What´s your favorite writing of his?

I haven't actually read one of his books yet...I have a couple, just haven't gotten to them...but I did have the wonderful experience of getting to hear him speak at a conference in San Francisco last year, and I have seen excerpts from his books. Someday I'll get time to actually read them. What I have seen and heard so far has made him my favorite...I believe that will only be more true once I get to reading him.
I also like Eckert Tolle. I'm in the process of reading one of his right now.

Not a philosopher in the strict sense of the word, but a thinker and a good one, too; very reasonable and clear-minded: Dalai Lama. Tried reading him yet?

Again, excerpts...but I have a book by the current Dalai Lama on my shelves also awaiting time to read it. I went on a rampage this summer and bought a ton of books on philosophy and spirituality...and haven't had the time to read them all yet. One at a time, I'll get through them eventually.
Some women say, "So many men and not enough time," for me it's "so many books, and not enough time."
