It all depends on the date he's with, some women want and need to be independent so you would split it, whereas other like the man to pay, I don't think its a big deal either way as long as the man does not expect something "Extra" just cause he picked up the tab.

Well I never felt quite comfortable with my date paying on the first date..But than again..I never felt quite like a lady if he didn't offer to pay

I make it a point of paying MY share when I get the feeling that´s the case. And won´t see the guy again.
Otherwise, it´s however you feel comfortable. He pays this time, I pay the next, or split, or pay, whatever. To each their own. I have no problem in paying for anything as long as I´m not being mooched.

I know how you feel ... its actually not easy and can make us feel a little awkward.. but it has to be done.... In my opinion anyway....if a guy doesn't think enough of you to offer to treat you a little on the first date of all dates, then I would not hold out much hope for the future of the relationship.....I think guys have to be reeeeaaally motivated to commit to a girl, in other words they have to really like the girl.... being too mean to buy dinner... very bad sign....------ This thread is Archived ------
