Thanks for the congrats Single Dude, and from all the rest of those from around the world. It does show the strength, and abilities, of a Republic, acting of the peoples rule, electing a president to insure the majorities will. To act of his executive position insuring no laws are passed, of congressional authority, that goes against the Contitution of America, and the citizens of America, whose ruling power it guarantees. IT IS GOOD TO BE AMERICAN AND HAVE THE AUTHORITY OF CONTROL FOR AMERICAS PROSPERITY. Of course the world benefits of our heart too, as it has done for generations. We'll see how the well versed Obama accepts his responsibilities, and Americans will be the judge of those. It is good to hear your gratitude of the people who voted for the executive check, in balancing out congressional intent, with a judiciary being a check on both, FOR AMERICA.

Dissecting Historical implications to justify something that goes against human goal of pulling together is not my cup of tea.
The historical analysis of Hamas is as good an as any other tribe that is in conflict around the globe to attain justice for itself.
The creed of fighting to the bitter end to eliminate a historic enemy that usurped your land can, and will, only create hate and vengeance.
To my standards, that is unacceptable.
If Hamas, tomorrow, remove their claim to the eradication of Israel, and are ready to work for a FREE Palestinian State, and replace PA, so be it.
But accent of the FREE......I do not accept that any religion should rule a country...be it Catholic or Muslim. I fought it when it was so in my country with Catholicism, and I will fight it if it had to be Muslim.
In human society, religions should always remain the choice of the individual, not the state. And for me I wuold find it extremely difficult to accept a Government run on the same lines as Iran. It is not the ideal form of social order that I would like to see expanding in the Middle East.

Indeed. Noble sentiments. It is unfortunate that Bush and in particular Cheney didnt believe in those checks and balances. it might have gone better if they had been more democratic. However that's over now and there are possibilities of improvement !!

How can one pronounce the word Democracy when a nation uses it's armed forces to occupy another nation? And uses it's supposedly 'in defense of the nation' set up called the CIA to usurp power in democratically elected governments of other nations?
How can a nation declare itself the champion for civilization when it allows itself to disregard the needed helping hand to it's own citizens? Is it civilized to throw elderly people in the streets simply because they have no means to pay for their care?
Is it civilized to ignore the needs of the hundreds of volunteers who rushed to help after the 9/11 tragedy on the premise that they were not Government employees????
Is it JUST to allow a huge chunk of your children to grow without a proper education?
JUSTICE, FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY.
That is what Obama has promised. Nothing more, nothing less.
You are all free to call him names........you are all free to accuse him of any and all wrongs......you are all free to call him a clown.....
But Obama has brought a new dawn to America.......one that will draw the line between what is right and what is wrong.
