I did not read it all, to be honest with you.
But just a simple question for a old war horse like me.
What about 20,000 AlQueada in North AFrica? What about the
Abu Sydayu in the south Phillipines Islands that are aligned with
AlQeada? What the Islamic pirates off the West coast of Africa?

It nice to tell the world...that this is a limited regonal conflict to Afghanistan and Pakistan....the world wants to hear that. Obama tells people what they want to hear. And he is very good at doing just that.
So far this year alone.....nearly 100 vessels around the Gulf of Eden pirated. Another set of kidnapping of westerns in North Africa only a couple of weeks ago.
The world wants to down play the global aspects of this....end the rheotric of the Global War on Terror....a term by the way that the White House booted from DC talk a while back.
But not talking about it...does not mean it ain't happening.
I personally think that he has about much chance of getting bin Laden in Pakistan as man as has in winning the multi ball lotto and the UK football pools combined. He has no intel that bin Laden is in Pakistan....maybe in sheep herd in north Africa? maybe on a beach in south Phillipine Islands? maybe even West Bank sipping coffee? or Lebanon walking with Hezbollah types? let us not forget Iran and a what a nice relationship with President A he could have. Heck Dude seen any 6'4" Islamic fundamentists in Denmark recently?:-)

Afghanistan is a mistake. It is simply impossible to fight a
war in such rough country. Having the military crawl all over
the mountains there is simply impossible. So what good can
the US do their. Build infrastructure and educate the children
and supply medical care that the people like it so much that they
would not want to go back to the ways of the Taliban.

Why do that? The Taliban come to the village you built your infrastructure in....taught the girls to read and write in....

Someone has to keep them from the infrasturcturer and good works you are doing.....that is where boots on the ground come into play. But the boots on the ground...need a chance for success. Moral is hard to keep alive when there 'is no end in sight'.

Yeah the battle is really hard and years and years of war have created a huge amount of people on talibanees side who get better paid being a talibanee than being ana fghani policeman or pakistani soldier and the flow of money from Saudies and some other arabic regims in the area makes them able doing so.......
but still....... now when Russia soon is going to cooporate fully with americans and China will play a role as well and even iranian will have to do the same then the battle will be easier to win and beside the new administraiton is more than aware about rebuilding the country after too many years of total destruction and powerty and violence.
Actually nothern part of Afghanistan is rather safe comparing to the rest of the country and that is mainly thanks to dutch soldiers and americans and british and other countries as well who are fighting the Taliban in a peacefull way and by rebuilding so more of this kind of fight and beside a very strong war agaisnt those with guns pointed on americans and their own people will lead to victory I am certain.

Steve Forbes, a very smart business man mentioned it on Huckabee show tonight.
Prior to the bank collapse, via Barney Franks banking committee... forced the banks to devalue the holding value of the mortages that they held. With the property devalued in the bank's statement, the banks does not have the $s on the income side of the ledger.
What Franks DEM controlled committee did was to regulate the banks to value their mortages to 'a immediate sale value'. This would discount mortage and shrink the ledger side of a bank by millions and millions of dollars.
Ledger income side devalued below expense side....one has bankruptcy.
The DEM forced the economic crisis that the US and World face today. If this is what the Frank Committee did. Still checking facts here.
If so.....please find a new home for Franks and the DEMs that are on the banking committee in Denmark. They are no longer needed here in the US.

This was for appraiser doing appraisals of homes going on the market.

If business dislikes one thing, it is the unknown.
By forcing a change in the lender business models, Franks was now in the position to re-write the 'immediate valuation of the banks mortagages.

On April 10th of 2008, Franks sends a rebuttal letter to the White House regarding the Fair Lending Act. A quote:
"Loans under this facility, as with "retail," as a loan-by-loan Title I would have to re-underwritten fully with documentation to income and appraised property value."

Sadam Hussien had 26 palaces, had robbed the Iraqi people of the UN Oil for Food, and if my figure of 495,000 deaths is to high for some here.....he surely had a ongoing internal program for killing Iraqi that was in opposition to him. He was not coming of power without a fight.
If there was a man stealing from and oppressing his fellow countrymen...it was Sadam Hussien.
The point I make here is this. Iraq with Sadam in power for the last 8 years was an Iraq headed into even worse conditions than what one was there last couple of years. It was surely headed into civil war. I assure you....from what I know of our US civil war....they are much more deadly to civilian and soldier than what occurred in Iraq these last years.
The American presence there.....in my opinion.....because I
know the US military.....saved many Iraqi lives. We have data
on the numbers of Iraqi that were treated in our mobile hospitals....1000s were. We have the food and community medical programs that were brought in. And the security that kept 100s of vehicles bombs from their targets.
Vehicle bombs were going to be used in this Iraqi civil war, Dude. As surely as you and me sit here and type.
Think what Obama did inherit in the Middle East. 1000s of foreign fighters captured. A Iran that has a US military presence on all sides. With a Persian Gulf that the west still controls. Oil is still flowing thru the straits....and down the pipelines. The later two....are vital to the world's economy
Imagine if the US presence was not there. Iran controlling the Persian Gulf. Sadam still in power with his sons waiting in line to take power. Kurds in the north and Shia in the south ....well not in a good situation. Israel in talks with Syria, Lebanon and Palestine (Fatah party).
He could have gotten a lot worse as a inheritance from GWB in the middle east. If all GWB did was go to Afghanistan after 9/11,
that is all that would have been accomplished in the middle east.

I guess all those mass graves that they found in Iraq from Sadam time in power were just imagine burial grounds. Why did they sentence Sadam to death? If he was a fatherly type that loved his fellow country men?
They had at least 20 mass burial ground of between 400 and 2000 that were uncovered......how many have never been found? God only know. God only knows the number he and his regeime killed.
