I have known people in the past say that they worked from home to make extra income, and I was wondering where I might be able to find out some legitimate info on what kinds of things I might possible be able to do from home. A friend suggested doing surveys on-line.????? anyone know anything about this or any other options.. It's going on a month now without working, still sending out resumes and putting in apps. but was going to try to do something for the time being, and maybe even in my spare time once I'm back working????? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated...
It all depends on what you want to do, man. If you don't mind doing 1099 (contracted work, basically you need a business licence and an Insurance BOP, or Business Operations Policy) there's actually a lot of Work at Home for customer service/Medical Transcription/ and data entry. But with the economy the way it is, its hard to get your foot in the door with the companies that will contract this sort of work.
One place I know of, although I don't think they're hiring is:

There are lots of jobs out there, including being a paid moderator for some places. Work for some insurance or road service companies and all it takes is a phone and computer.

Yeah, do like my Dad did, he was an early single parent and he worked in an iron foundry - us kids brought ourselves up but we lived by his values - hard work never hurt us or him.......

I tried the on-line surveys before...you have to be careful with those...because a lot of the time you go through the entire survey (20 minutes, sometimes longer) and when you finally finish and click the final button to get the credit survey...there is an error...and then you dont get the credit (but they get all their answers)...so I wouldn't trust it...you can try it for fun, but in general I found that usually only the extremely cheap paying surveys work...
Tater, You said it , maybe you should be a private investigator on cs, dating the guys wife on here , then filming it and selling it to him , You may have the best of both worlds,

I tried to find something to do this with, too...and found that it costs money or requires a landline at home, which I don't have. I wish you luck, Tater, and will keep you in my prayers.
Blessings, sweetie. Have faith, pray, and it will work out right in the end.

Are you adept on the computer?
You could offer remote services for doing computer fix-its or lessons for those that may not be so able.
