I look upon you with such love Know my love is strong, strong enough for two My eyes are so full of you, my heart so open I long to show you and tell of such love But you don’t see, still blinded and closed off Your words are harsh, provoking to the core What to do? Provoke is what you do! I reach out; wanting you to see, but you close us in You see and hear, but not from within, and I try again to understand Over and over that’s where we’re at No space forward but two steps back When will you learn, find your way out? Come to me and I will help I will be there, standing by your side Just where I've been all this time You don’t see it, eyes cast down… Just look up, standing tall, here I am.
It seems, in our humanity, that we don't see and hear from within, well, until we do. In the mean time, your Love is beautiful and will be received by the One who is "awake."
If someone else comes along who is awake and open (in a place to receive and give Love) don't hesitate to keep your lovely heart open to a different possibility.
I wonder, as you look upon your muse with such LOVE, if it will be by that very gaze of LOVE that he will eventually open... not necessarily to you, but eventually to himself and accordingly to someone else.
Although that may feel like a huge sting at first, in the end, if this turns out to be the case, you will have given him the greatest gift LOVE can afford, IMO.
A really strong appeal to accept your help ... this time it will work out, I am sure. He will see and hear, and learn, and find his way ... straight to your heart. Delightful poem.

Good luck, either way!
