Will a road less traveled lead to a land lesser known? Or will it be discovered as a path to Paris or Rome? Will a grassy knoll be a knoll less blown? Or will it too have scars of erosion shown? Will a horse less ridden want to be left alone? Or would the horse prefer it's splendor be shown?
Will a candle stay lit beside a walls airy slit? Or will the candle lose grip of it's coveted wick? Will a falling tree be heard within a forest thick? Or will it's collapse be as any other falling stick? Will a ship get lost in a seas' waves angry and slick? Or will the sea show mercy with it's vanishing trick?
So many questions upon which one could delve, Answers as diverse as the questions themselves.

About this poem:
Failing the 50 word challenge, I chose to modify the poem at Andrews suggestion. Thanks for your inspiration Andrew!!
Ahhhh I was afraid that my attempt wouldn't get a passing grade! :-) It's a tough assignment! may try again a bit later... now tis time to go blaze a path through the freshly fallen snow to feed my critters! Thanks 'Uncle Andrew' :-)
I hope these changes make the poem a better piece!

Excellent poem my friend, well written, a good read and thought provoking too...A thinking poem for sure...Andrew... P.S. You didn't fail, you tried, that is a pass in my book....
Thanks Andrew... and after careful examination... I modified and tweaked it a bit more, so that all words ending the first 6 lines rhyme, as well all words ending the last 6 lines. - Before, the last 6 lines failed to meet that pattern. Maybe now it's ready for publication? :-)

Hi Swade
You've done a first rate job there. In particular I like the way you are quite prepared to edit the poem after you've posted.
What I find is that even reading a poem through a couple of times before posting - you can still fail to spot an obvious error or typo.
I like the way how this site they let you edit the poem after posting. It's weird how often you spot an error AFTER hitting the send button.
Hi, swade777, Q: Will a road less traveled lead to a land lesser known? & A: The road less travelled will lead to a land that will remain lesser known by the many but become better known by the few. Or will it be discovered as a path to Paris or Rome? What a fascinating possibility to ponder! Answers as diverse as the questions themselves. Indeed!
