I really like this concept of twins being Past & Future and having to deal with issues they can both bring to one's life, where Present is always the safest place to be! EXCELLENT write!! On a 1 - 10 scale ..... An Unquestionable 10!!!!

I absolutely agree.A great write and so on the mark.Thankyou::yay:
Thanks! I wish I could claim the idea for myself, but the auld Egyptians beat me to that by a few thousand years... There is a Hieroglyph consisting of the front-parts of two lions, joined together in the middle. They are the 'Lions of last evening and tommorrow morning'. And like all self-respecting lions, they got a good set of teeth...
Somewhere I remember seeing one version of that with the 'Ankh' ('Life') emerging from the middle between the two, enclosed in a triangle. That's where the idea came from.

Great writing Hek and welcome to Poetry Corner. On the evidence of your first two poems, you are going to be an asset to this forum.
a very interesting write, the thoughts of the future and all it 'may' hold, the unknown is always scary. then the thoughts of the past, all the regrets, the things you would maybe like to change the times that weren't so great. The present is where you are in control and living.

From wherever the concept came, your poem does it justice! will come up and crawl right under unsuspecting skins... what great phrasing!
