In a global internet age you touch on a situation that affects unknown thousands - or even millions of people separated by mighty oceans or thousands of miles.
Long distance romances are always fraught with all kinds of practical difficulties - and yet, on this very site their are at least two couples who have overcome all these obstacles and are seemingly in successful relationships.
Two points occur to me... the point you make about the frustration you experience at being separated from someone you would like to meet... but also on the positive side - never giving up hope, as LadyBee and Paloma and their beloveds have so ably demonstrated.
